It was a race to get the cherries off the tree before the birds got to them. The birds got 50% and I got 50%. Our tree has been in the ground just 9 years so it is still small.
This is just one of the three bags I froze. They will make great pies this Autumn.
We finally got our hanging baskets up. I love impatiens because I don’t have to deal with cutting the flower heads off.
West spent the night on Saturday and was here until 3pm yesterday. It was a joy to have him since I hadn’t seen him in 3 weeks. When planning meals for him, I decided on hot dogs on Saturday night rather than get him a McDonald’s kids meal. It was a bit healthier to do that and add some applesauce. Of course later he just had to have a dish of ice cream with chocolate syrup.
When my son came to get him, he helped Hubby get the rest of the dead tree out of the ground. Now Hubby can have the landscape company transplant the peony bush from the back garden to the front where we removed the tree.
It was a relatively quiet weekend except for West staying.
On Saturday morning, I woke up with a painful tooth. So this morning I called my dentist and he saw me at 10:15am. As luck would have it I have an abscessed tooth. He put me on antibiotics for 10 days. He will do the root canal tomorrow and put in a temporary filling. Then Tuesday of next week he will get the post in and put the permanent filling in. He wants to make sure the infection is gone before he fills it permanently. I didn’t even ask the price. However, since Hubby paid for the yearly savings discount plan last week, the emergency appointment and X-rays were included. The root canal will be 20% off with the plan.
We had to turn the A/C on Saturday evening for the first time because it got up to 80 in the house. It was on until dinner time on Sunday and then we shut it off. It is comfortable in here today. It’s 71.
So my blog post tomorrow will most likely be up later than normal since I will be spending 2 and 1/2 hours at the dentist. Fortunately I got all of my errands for the week done on the way home from the dentist.
I hope you all are having a terrific Monday!

Good Luck at the dentist! We live in central Florida and run the AC practically year round.
Thanks Lisa! I hope you have low KWH rates. Our rates were much lower in AZ when we had it on most of the year. Here in NY rates are super high.
Good luck at the dentist. I broke a tooth off below the gum. This tooth had a root canal done years ago. I have no idea what will have to be done.
Thanks! Oh no. I wish you luck with your tooth issue too.
