They came to an agreement last night which gave them a 62 % tentative wage increase. So the strike has been suspended until January 15, 2025 when they will bargain on the other benefits. The timing of all of this is very curious.
But I am happy that the people affected by the hurricane hopefully will be able to get what they need to build back. That was my biggest worry.

Precious, thanks for mentioning. I am thinking part of the reason is b/c of the election and part b/c Christmas is coming up and there are a lot of presents on the ships.
Boy oh boy do we think differently! am thinking it is because they got a 62% raise so the other benefits can wait!
